ELEMENTS:
Wordpress for CMS, adjusted by editing the admin’s styling, menus and by removing unused elements.
Ajaxed About Page: the subpages display inline (without refreshing the whole page) to make navigating easier and faster.
Custom Post Templates: To adjust the feel and look between several single posts
Custom Fields: To creative a better usage of the CMS we made custom fields to fill out the information
Addthis: a script only on the homepage to refer people to the Facebook Page.
CSS: Some CSS3 is implemented
Graphic Design: All graphic design drawn by hand with some elements inspired by stock vector.
Technical optimazation & Effects:
- Removed all unnecessary elements that are supplied by some WP plugins
- All scripts and CSS combined to limit page load
- Grade A with a score of 94 by Yslow
- HTML5 upgrade
- Facebook meta tags
- JQuery Cookie (welcome popup only shown first time)
- JQuery Tooltip: text appears when hovering over navigation
- JQuery Smooth Scrool: Page scrolls to center when entered. Scrolls smoothly when navigating
- Popups when viewing a single item
- Moving backgrounds (in footer)
- Ajaxed Portfolio: scrolls without leaving the main page
- Moving Quotes (light paper effect)
